Be Casual and Cool – You want to post a casual shot just like you are ready to go on a first date. Avoid the corporate mug shots where you might look too serious. Wear Your Colors – Wear colors that complement your skin tone. Forget what's in style and wear what makes you look good. Watch the Lighting – Because lighting can greatly impact the quality of a photo, take your pictures in different settings and angles so you have options. For the best results, take shots inside with a good digital camera that has red-eye reduction flash, and then outside when the sun is setting. When taking outside shots, make sure the sun is behind the photographer. Choose Backgrounds Carefully – The background in a photo can make a huge difference.
