Reading: This is a great pastime and most edifying thing to do in your life. There is so much technology today that we forget to sit and read a good book. Relax and read true life stories and see how people have dealt with various obstacles, read fiction and keep your mind alive too. Read good jokes to make you laugh and keep a smile on your face.
Money: Cultivate a habit of saving money every month and don’t just keep spending. Stop impulse buying; it just builds up a whole load of stuff you may never even use or just use once. Use a budget and stick to it. You can’t have the whole world in one day. What happens tomorrow, I suppose you will borrow and then even be up in debt? Another problem.

Travel: Save and travel with friends/volunteer group and see the world. Don’t see pictures or read papers or listen to the news. Information can be distorted. Look at the world map and point to a destination and then make it your goal to go there. Work towards something – have a vision and a dream. Make sure you do your research on the place you plan to visit i.e. laws, how safe it is, etc.
Don’t just travel for leisure or a holiday but for adventure and to have a learning experience too. Travel to Africa, see the wild animals, the villages that people live in, learn the culture and get to know how women, men and children are regarded in different cultures.
What am trying to let you see is that there is so much to do and live for in this world. Life is precious. You can direct your energies at something different when one door closes in your life. Use your imagination to come up with things that you can do, even the little details. Never despise small beginnings. Don’t allow the odds to break you. They are only there to strengthen you and make you grow. Choose to live life to the full and enjoy all the good things it has to offer you.
