| With the growing popularity of gastric bypass surgery to treat morbid obesity, plastic surgeons are seeing an influx of patients who had plastic surgery procedures to contour their body after massive weight loss and expect the trend to continue, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). In fact, making fundamental lifestyle changes are what makes you look young and beautiful for a long time. Gastric bypass surgery is a medical alternative that should be explored only when the doctor thinks that there is no other choice. Recent research, however, shows that gastric bypass surgery may lower blood pressure - thus, providing an additional benefit. There are reports that some people overeat and try to achieve such a high weight that the doctor will then easily recommend gastric bypass surgery. This is not the right thing to do since you are destroying your body in the hope that you will look great later. What if it does not work out that way? Gastric bypass surgery is known to have caused complications, including death. While recognizing the risks, Medicare now covers many patients who need it. In just the past year ASPS saw the number of patients receiving buttock lifts rise 74 percent, upper arm lifts increased 66 percent, thigh lifts grew 33 percent and lower body lifts went up 14 percent. Post-bariatric surgery usually occurs one year after the procedure or when weight loss has plateaued for three to six months.” Recommended articles: Anti-aging solutions Should you get plastic surgery done overseas?
