| Weight Watchers are the veterans of the diet industry. Their diet is healthy and they have great support groups where people learn how to eat and what to avoid. The online Weight Watchers version tries to replicate the offline system. (Related: How to lose weight during middle age) In a study of a selection of weight loss programs published in the medical journal Annals of Internal Medicine found that only Weight Watchers had strong documentation that it worked. The study, conducted by the University of Pennsylvania, found that Weight Watchers clients who attended most group sessions during a two-year period maintained the largest weight loss out of participants in nine other programs, including Jenny Craig and Overeaters Anonymous. In Weight Watchers online you have online meetings, that are both support groups and opportunities to learn. They have a few options, though, of the type of diet you want to follow. This is an expensive program and without paying they do not let you see what are the interactive tools they are offering. If you have followed Weight Watchers in the past and you like it, this program could be good for you. If you want more flexibility, perhaps eDiets is a better choice.
