| The pace of change in my life during last five days has been mind-boggling. Several of my colleague mentioned to me today that I looked cheerful, lost, and sometimes, exhausted. I made up a lame excuse that the weather was making my throat hurt and that is why I could not sleep very well. That is why, when I sneezed a couple of times (after I guess I used too much breath freshener when I went to the Ladies' Room), my boss came up to my desk and said that I could go home to get some rest. I almost felt like kissing him then and there. I pretended to work for another hour or so, sneezed on purpose a few more times, and apologized to everyone that I have no choice but to leave so that I do not disturb others with my sneezing. It was only 4 PM when I got home - a good two hours earlier than my regular time. As I sat on tatami floor, flipping channels, I started to wonder what I should do with Hiroo. I have started to like him a lot during these five days since I had spent more time with him than I had with all my previous boyfriends. He has been exceptionally nice to me and I knew that it would be hard for me to meet him every day of the week, but that is exactly what had been happening for last five days. After I was allowed to come home early today and now that I had nothing to do, I just kept thinking about him. I have to take advantage of this extra time that I have. What can be a better way to spend this time than to do something special tonight with Hiroo? I called Hiroo on his cell phone and he was on his way back to his office from a meeting. I told him that I was home early and thought that I could prepare a special meal of fajitas and chile rellenos. Now that I had figured out Hiroo's passion for gourmet food, I found these two Mexican recipes on the Internet. (Related recipes: Chile chicken quesadillas, Vegetarian chili, and Queso fundido con Chile) ~ I had been researching an appropriate outfit for the evening since I was simply not sure what to wear. From what I had learned during my research, there was no different style that modern day Latinas have other than the fact that they dress very hot, the dresses generally are skin tight, and they are more likely to emphasize their curves than women in other parts of the world. This suited me fine since I seemed to have everything that Mexican women have. Additionally, since I was going to stay at home, I could take some liberty while dressing since it would be just me and Hiroo and I do not have to think much about how others might perceive me. I decided to prepare the basic dishes before Hiroo showed up. Then I prepared the fillings for fajitas and kept it ready. That meant that I was ready to get dressed and would not have to worry about cooking after I got dressed. Continued: Mexican cuisine theme date |
