As part of our ongoing research, what we are finding is that despite the efforts of men to do a better job at seducing and making love, they still do a pathetic job in most cases.  When will men start to get a bit imaginative?  That is the outcome of our online survey and group discussion organized by us.  So what is the consensus among women:  take charge.  What it means is that when it comes to the affairs of the bedroom, women have to facilitate the seduction process so that it is entertaining and pleasurable at the same time.  (Related: How to choose lingerie?)

Men are more visual than us and what I mean is that they respond more effectively and quickly to visual stimuli while we are more emotional in our approach to life.  We have always known that.  While we will be talking to them, their eyes are glued someplace else – whether it be the television or a pretty woman passing by.  It does not matter how many nice things we say to them, it is only when they look at us they get interested.  Particularly if we wear something exciting.  Totally opposite of how we are.  For us, visual stimulation is one of several components that comprise our romance world.  More importantly, we value the whole experience. So the things the way they are, there is little we can do about it.  The consensus in the group that helped us formulate our recommendation is that we need to provide adequate visual stimulation to men.  And remember that there are very subtle ways to do it by leveraging an item of lingerie.   (Related:  Gigi's Closet lingerie)

Surprise him

More often than not, men are so absorbed in their own world that they hardly pay attention to us.  For instance, I learned that newspaper, magazines, television (particularly if a sports program is on), and food tend to attract more attention until I surprise him.  In our research, we all agreed that one of the best ways to catch his attention is to catch him totally by surprise.  And how do you do that?  Well, for example, you could take a nice, long bath with aromatherapy oils and soaps and then simply dress up in a teddy and cover yourself with a silk robe.  When he comes home, it is very likely that he will not think much about your secret until you accidentally give him a glimpse of your teddy.  Tease him a bit and just pretend as if it is nothing that would interest him.  This is likely to create even more curiosity (if he is a total moron and gives up at this time, then do not give up; offer to give him a peek just of the top part anyway) and at that point tell him to wait till bedtime but give him a peek of the top part.  Ask him to go relax in the bedroom after dinner and then when you walk in, perform a slow dance for him.  Open the robe and then let him see that you are wearing a teddy but make sure that you cover everything else till he begs you to let him have a look.  Jeanne Tripplehorn, in a naughty tone, said in an interview, "Never underestimate the power of lingerie.."  (Related:  Celebrities lingerie)

Shock him

This will be even more fun if your partner is the ‘conservative’ type.  Of course, you might want to challenge him based on what his tolerance level is but try to push his limits a little bit.  The one we selected from our group involves calling him at work and suggesting that you eat out since you are too tired to cook, as you will be late at work.  Use the time that you get to go home and change.  The suggested outfit is a sheer top.  Put on a jacket so that he will not know what you are up to.  Once you are seated in the restaurant, open your jacket to give him a peek.  In case he does not order you to go home (or actually ends up complimenting you), take it off completely and let the show begin.  Most men are highly turned on when their partner can literally ‘stop the traffic.’  The higher the shock-factor for him, the more intense the seduction.  (Related article:  Story of a woman who tries this trick)

Scandalize him

This one came from the really adventurous women in the group.  Do not attempt it if your partner does not have an appetite for controversy (a good way to judge him to find out if he ever reads tabloids).  The strategy is to make you literally the “talk-of-the-town.”  Whether it is a poolside party or a get-together of friends or a family gathering, you can simply dress in an outfit that will make all the men drool over you and the women talk behind your back.  The easiest way to do is to use an item of lingerie as outerwear.  A teddy used with a mini skirt or pants, a camisole with jeans, or a bodysuit with slacks – they all work and will make you the star attraction.    (Related:  Fayreform lingerie collection)
