Styles for spring

A big change is here

By Pierre Coda

The fashion week is now over and after analyzing the styles, including the LAMB style from fashion diva Gwen Stefani, I have a summary of what I see as the key trends next spring.

Higher waists are in and low rise clothing is out. Ouch, how are these women gonna show their thongs now? Based on what I see, waistband is so much higher now that there is absolutely no place for visible thongs - provided you follow the fashion, of course.

Heels are gone too. Or should I say that it is fine to wear flats.

Silver is pretty. I am personally partial to platinum but I guess silver hasPhoto of Brazilian model Isadora Marshall wearing a sheer yellow top. the same effect. In any case, if you believe in gold, hold it for the time being. Anything that glitters now is not gold - it is silver.

How about some feminine stuff? I mean things like chiffon and satin - the frilly type. Things that only Asian women used before are now in. Expect to see that around necklines and hems.

Did you notice all those bangles and bracelets from Africa that women have been using recently? It seems that those types of accessories that are essentially handicrafts are here to stay. I feel good for all those artisans worldwide. Let's buy more of these.

Dresses are in. Could very well be because of all the feminine styles that you see in "Desperate Housewives."

And while it may sound somewhat disappointing to men, but it seems that styles are less sexy now. As I said above, the waistbands are going up and so are the necklines. Not much skin to see in the coming months for all the men out there.
