Diet and workout regime of Madonna

A role model for all fitness enthusiasts

Madonna weighs just 50 kg or 110 lbs and has a relatively low BMI since she is 5 feet 2 inches tall. So how does she doe it?  While many of us may not be able to replicate what she does, Madonna clearly can be a role model for us. She is almost an exercise fanatic. This is what her routine looks like based on a series of TV programs on her and information leaked about her.

Morning

She has a gym at home and stays only in those hotels that have excellent gyms. In fact the Ritz Carlton in Miami spent tens of thousands of dollars to customize one of their suites for her stay so that she could workout right there. As is well known, Madonna practices Ashtanga Yoga - not for the faint of heart and not for beginners.

Madonna has also embraced macrobiotic diet. Accordingly, she will have a vegetable soup for breakfast along with either fresh vegetables or fruits or their juice.

Mid-morning

Like most of us who workout just once a day, Madonna keeps working out during the day - and of course, being Madonna it is possible. She goes for Pilates before lunch.  (Related:  How did Drew Barrymore lose weight)

Lunch

Again more macrobiotic food (that is different from raw diet) that includes lots of vegetables and protein-rich dishes made from tofu, seeds, bean sprouts, etc.

Madonna may choose any of the other exercises that she is fond of. Everyone now knows that she hurt herself when she was riding a horse. She may also do exercises like swimming, biking, or even martial arts.

What else does Madonna do?

Well, there are reports that she has exercise equipment readily available wherever she is so that she can sneak out and burn some calories in the middle of whatever she is doing. And with all the money she makes, she often has shiatsu massages that seem to last for hours.
