such a huge jump in the number of
overweight and
obese people during last two decades, a report in the

Lack of enough sleep |
In our quest to go
ahead in life, we are working longer, taking fewer
days off, and cutting back on sleep. Many studies
find that people who do not get enough sleep have

In a culture where we
all seem to pop
prescription drugs like candies, we do not
realize that many drugs result in weight gain. First
of all,
do not take any drug unless you have to. And
secondly, if you notice even a small gain in your
weight, talk to your doctor immediately to discuss
your options. |

Pregnancy after 40 |
For a variety of
reasons, more women are bearing children in their
late thirties and forties. Apart from other risks to
children born to older moms, higher weight is
clearly one of them. So if possible, plan on having
children at the right age. Consider adoption if you
think you are too old to have your own children.
Women who are already
obese may need to be specially careful about
pregnancy. |
