Weight loss tips from Japanese women

We have been discussing the weight loss secrets of Japanese women.  We have already talked about how you need to eat right and exercise regularly and that there is really no shortcut to losing weight.  Here are additional tips on how to change your life.

How to change your life
  • This was a key difference among the Japanese women.  Since Japanese society is slim in general, it is easy to notice obese people.  Japanese society is very homogeneous and being different is always a problem.  Thus, Japanese people will do anything to merge with the crowd.  If you are obese, then try to be with slim people.  Make some slim friends so that you can learn from them on how to make lifestyle changes and get tips on eating and exercising.  Being with people like you might be supporting to you but will be detrimental in the long run.
  • Set reasonable expectations.  Not everyone can be a model.  So instead of trying to be like Kate Moss, look at a neighbor instead.  Work towards a goal steadily rather than set very high goals.  (Related:  How to get a celebrity body)
  • Enjoy life.  Dress well.  Go to parties.  Spend time with your friends, family, and other loved ones.  Look at all the wonderful people around you and try to think of your body as a gift from God that you need to take good care of.
  • Do not give up.  Everyone makes mistakes but these can be corrected.  There are millions of success stories of people who have been able to get perfect bodies by doing the right things.  No one knows if the weight loss programs like Jenny Craig (Kirsty Allen) or TrimSpa (Anna Nicole Smith) did the trick, but these two ladies definitely lost a lot of weight.
  • Take care of yourself – not only for your lover but for yourself.  Go to a spa, use good health and beauty products, get a massage, and do whatever pleases your soul!
  • Ever heard of the power of the mind?  Use this mind energy creatively.  Set a goal that seems reasonable and then muster all your mental energy to work towards it.
  • Meditate.  Yoga is very helpful in helping you become a spiritual person.  It does not have to be a religious exercise but you must find some time for reflection and meditation. 
  • Listen to music – to relax, to meditate, to exercise, and just to feel good about life. 
  • Buy clothes of the size that you would like to have and then put them in a place that you can see.  Eagerly wait for the day that you would be able to fit rather than giving away all your clothes from the days you were slim.  (Related: Slimming jeans)
  • Take a photo of a family member or friend whose body you like and put it in a prominent place so that you can work towards your goal. 
  • Ask someone who cares for you to be your mentor as you work towards your goal.  Ask him or her to motivate you along the way and stop you if you are going off-track.  Get a life coach if you do not have someone you can trust to take the job.
