In
the past the image of Japanese men was defined by executives who seemed to
have taken over the business world in the 80s.
They were perceived as snobbish, rude, and too absorbed with
business. Most women who met
them at business meetings found them to be dull, boring, and not
interested in anything beyond work in fact, even their golf outings
seemed to be an extension of business.

The
second image was of Japanese men in large groups traveling to Southeast
Asia to engage in some nasty actions. Several
establishments in poor countries catered exclusively to these visiting salarymen.
In Japan, they were openly accepted as a small reward for the
sacrifices made by their male employees.
In the complex accounting systems followed by Japanese companies,
some of these trips were simply treated as entertainment expenses during
business development trips. Many
Japanese men were accused of being pedophilic or outright brutal behavior
against hapless women hailing from the poorest sections of the societies
in The Philippines and Thailand.

The
bubble economy is over and Japan is back to a more real world. The economic growth is so slow that even during a 9 to 5 job,
there is not enough to do the result being layoffs and early
retirements. The impact on
the overall society is positive. Since
there is a lot more time, people are spending more family time.
Men are now enrolling in classes where they can learn something new
and pursue their interests beyond work and golf.
Dark blue suits are no longer needed many companies encourage
casual clothing if no customer meetings are scheduled. Overall the Japanese men are a different breed in a matter of

A large number of foreign women now think that Japanese men are
cool and they would like to get to know the man behind the faηade,
especially guys like

Japanese man, I think Japanese men are very hot. I also know I would never want to be in a serious
relationship with an Asian guy because of their infidelity, makes them
even more desirable (Commitment

To
