Take a look at this
building in
New York City! As you might suspect, as did I, it
looks as if those colorful creations are actually parts of the
building construction. But as I approached closer, I realized
that this 3-D illusion was created by simply painting the wall of an
apartment building with different colors in a unique geometric
pattern. Of course, it looks great from a distance and the
mystery is solved once you get close, but it also gives you a great
idea for decorating a wall in your home. If you pick the place
carefully, and keep it small enough so that you can create the same
illusion, you may be successful in creating a three-dimensional
effect by using simple paint. And as in this picture, if the
lighting and the surroundings are just right, you will receive a lot
of praise from your guests. |
