What the hell is a minimalist workout?

-

-

You know I am the type who religiously works out one hour five days a week and it has done nothing but good things to me.  And trust me, I am as busy as anyone else, so I don’t buy the excuse that you don’t have time.  My logic is that my body is the ONLY thing I really own till my death and if I cannot find time for it and take care of it, what is the point of working or studying or doing whatever else you are doing that keeps you so busy.

Apparently, a minimalist workout is the absolutely minimum amount of exercise you could get away with to get some health benefit.  I mean we are talking minutes here.  I guess it is better than nothing but, ladies and gentlemen, please no shortcuts.  Go out there and do the real thing.

Benefits of walking after a meal

-

My grandpa, an Ayurveda physician, used to emphasize the importance of not being still after a meal.  He recommended that as little as 100 steps made a huge difference in kick-starting digestion, particularly after a heavy meal.  Science is now confirming that a 15 minute walk (that would be a lot more steps that 100) can do wonders to your body.
