Olive oil found to act as a painkiller

Not just in Italy or countries on the Mediterranean coast, but people worldwide have discovered the benefits of olive oil. Now scientists at the Monell Chemical Senses Center have found that olive oil actually has a compound that mimics the active ingredient in ibuprofen.

At a time when dangerous drugs like Vioxx have been banned due to their serious side effects, and even ibuprofen has been found to be dangerous if taken for a long period of time, we definitely need a safer painkiller.
