How to make a baby?
Tips for couples to get pregnant

writes, "We are planning to have our baby. If you could
suggest some basic preparation for the same, that will be
great. Any kinds of test should I and my hubby should
undergo or start eating certain types of food and vitamins?
Do you think I should
lose some weight before conceiving? I had miscarried
during my last pregnancy and that is why I want to be extra
careful this time."
Here are
a few
things to do to improve your chances of pregnancy and
maintaining a healthy pregnancy:
- Be happy.
Stress and worry are not great emotions for an
expectant
mom.
- Maintain a healthy weight. The
body needs to be strong to accept a new human being.
- Take prenatal vitamins.
- Monitor your basal temperature
and use an ovulation test to
make
sure that you know when you are ovulating.
- Around the time of your ovulation,
have frequent sex. Most doctors suggest daily or on
alternate days to maximize your chances.
- Do not use any lubrication. If
you are not fully lubricated, you can use a finger for
stimulation but no saliva is to be used. ProSeed is a
lubricant that may be used only if absolutely necessary.
- Use the missionary position.
After he ejaculates, you can put a pillow under your hips
to raise them. Then lie quietly for 15-20 minutes so that
the semen does not come out and
sperms can travel inside
to your cervix.
- If you have not been able to conceive
in 12 months then you might want to consider tests like
Fertell to determine if either of you has any
infertility issues. At that time, you may consider
more formal
infertility treatments that may include
IUI,
IVF, or using donor eggs.
